More on dandelions
Not only is it lovely to have this infused oil for a variety of uses – massage, base for ointments – but the process of gathering dandelion flowers is for me, very soothing and meditative. I try to spread it over a day or two to leave new ones for the bees. This year I only made two small jars worth, but it’s been so strange, weather wise. After all my hard work I needed a picture. 🙂
To make dandelion-flower oil, simply gather blossoms, chop fine and fill any sized jar you wish, according to ambition. Fill with oil of your choice (I used almond here). cap, set on a papertowel to catch any run off, and wait six weeks. Strain and voila!
